Williams’ Gem Pastry Chiller shown for first time at Lunch exhibition
Stand M307, 26 – 27 September 2013, Business Design Centre, London.
Williams’ eye-catching pastry chiller merchandiser, launched last year, is being shown for the first time at Lunch 2013. Designed to maintain the special storage conditions needed to keep pastries, pies, cakes and open sandwiches in top condition, the new model also combines an energy-efficient refrigeration system with a clever layout to maximise every millimetre of retail display space.
The PC900, is part of Williams Gem range for the Grab & Go sector. It has a striking curved glass front, which is hinged for ease of cleaning. The attractive exterior is matched by the bright interior, while rear-loading doors give staff easy access for restocking and serving.
Energy saving features includes heavy duty polyurethane insulation and LED lights. The combination of effective refrigeration and high performance insulation means that the cabinet chills down to temperature quickly, so that the pastry chiller always maintains set parameters (usually 5 – 8°C), even in ambients of 25°C.
The unit measures 900mm wide by 780mm deep by 1500mm high and the display area has a storage capacity of 205 litres (7.2 cubic feet).
Also making its debut at Lunch 2013 will be Williams’ mobile Prep Well, designed to help with the makeup of pizzas, salads and sandwiches. The Prep Well is a highly flexible, compact unit –ideal for sites that have to replenish ingredients from the coldroom and have no room for a conventional prep counter with wells.
All products on display at Lunch are ideal for the Grab & Go sector, including Williams’ energy saving Gem Multideck with sliding front doors, its visually striking Gem Sandwich Chiller ideal for drinks, snacks, sandwiches and plated cold foods, as well as its popular Jade counter for back of house refrigerated storage.
