The latest version of our Amber HA135 refrigerated undercounter cabinet has officially achieved an A+ energy rating.
As refrigeration equipment needs to operate continuously, energy efficiency is a priority for a lot of operators. This not only helps to reduce running costs but is also a huge part in improving the overall sustainability of businesses.
The new Amber features a combination of energy-saving and eco-friendly features, including hydrocarbon refrigerant, high density insulation and a high performance refrigeration system. Its compact dimensions of just 606mm wide, 577mm deep and 805mm high, and its front venting refrigeration system allow it to be installed in tight spaces, making it ideal for smaller kitchens.
The new A+ energy rating was helped by the use of Electronically Commutated (EC) condenser fans. EC fans automatically change Alternating Current to Direct Current, and allow the Amber’s controller to precisely control the fan to ensure optimal cooling performance, while lowering energy consumption compared to traditional AC fans. Furthermore, they’re quieter, contributing to a more pleasant environment for staff and customers.
The Amber 135 model is also available as a freezer (model number LA135), both of which are capable of operating in ambient temperatures of up to 32°C. Other features include adjustable, nylon covered shelving, a lockable door and easy clean magnetic gaskets as well as adjustable feet and rear castors for easy movement when required.
“Williams understands that with rising energy costs and the need to reduce emissions more businesses are prioritising energy saving features,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director for Williams. “We’re always looking for ways to improve the performance of our existing product ranges, and the A+ energy rating for the latest version of our Amber cabinets is another demonstration of our commitment to this.”
